A case of Neurofibroma in spinal canal is reported. 30 years old female was visited on Jan. 6, 1963 with complaining of pain on the left shoulder, which radiated to the ulnar aspect of left hand, and of stiffness, limitation of motion and pain of neck for about a year duration.
Upon the admission to this hospital she was presented the paralysis of both legs, and hypesthesia on the trunk. Hypesthesia was also evident on the ulnar side of left arm, and she could not walk at all.
Myelography with 6 c.c. pantopaque revealed the obstruction of dye column with an extradural space occupying lesion on the level of T₁.
It was treated by laminectomy with the removal of well circumscribed and encapsulated tumor. Tumor was examined microscopically.
30 days after surgery, she was able to walk and the general conditions were good exclusive of hypesthesia on the ulnar aspect of left arm.
